“It all begun in 2005 when I was studying management for public administration, governmental institution. It was then that I discover my passion for helping people. Despite career tests unanimously suggesting I should pursue a profession in the medical industry, police, or social service, I found myself studying something entirely different, leaving me confused. This confusion persisted until I was time to choose a subject for my dissertation. The option were limited to European Union legislation, public administration, human resources, and management in public institutions. I chose human resources for both my dissertation and my optional module. As I delved deeper into human resources, I found the answer to my dilemma: combining my passion for helping others with my profession.
What followed was an avalanche of courses, certifications, workshops in HR , along with a lot of hard work. I wanted to acquire all the necessary qualifications to secure a job in this industry. Though it was not easy, my efforts paid off. By the age of 25 I secured a job as human resources manager within a multinational company, a role I loved and thrived in for eight years. Motherhood presented a challenge for my professional life, but starting my own HR consultancy business resolved my frustration. It allowed me to better organize my time, manage my income efficiently, spend more time with my family, and continue practicing the profession I love.
My learning journey never stopped. As a businesswoman, I understand the need for constant improvement and updating my skills. I earned a degree in business enterprise and master’s in international business management, which helped me further explore human resources and entrepreneurship. Through conversations with a numerous entrepreneur, department managers, and investors, and by researching HR market trends, I understood that staff turnover is a significant challenge, costing businesses up to twice annual salary for each role replacement. This realisation led me to specialise myself in employee engagement. Therefore, I put all my knowledge and experience into a method to test, identify, measure employee engagement and offer a tailored solution to aligne employee’s behaviour with business objectives.
Finding the right people at the right time for the right role is challenging, but investing in the right employees can enhance company culture, boost productivity, and improve retention rates.
